Letter from the president
It continues to be an exciting time working towards the progress that is being made at the park and as an organization! As you all know, we have many milestones to check off before we can officially open the gates, but be sure that your JEA board is working hard to accomplish all of the details, so that we have a safe and fun park that everyone can use.
We need your help in lots of different ways - but the easiest way to help, is to become a member or donate to the park. Our operating costs are low, but keeping up with the website, insurance, and annual taxes and fees are always a must on our list. Additionally, we are working towards raising the funds to finish the development of the connector trail which connects the Larry Scott Trail to the park. One of the few milestones left, before we can officially open the gates for all to use.
Another way to help and get involved is to become a board member. We have an active call out to the community looking for folks who want to be part of our board. We need your help! Many hands make light work!
Finally, we have some fun events coming down the pipeline! A treasure hunt ride/walk/bike event at Anderson Lake Park on July 27th and JEA at the Movies on October 5th. We are also working on a few more events for the rest of this year - so stay tuned! We can’t wait to spend some quality time with you!
If you are interested in joining the board, getting involved, or if you have any questions about anything, please feel free to reach out to me via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
Yours in Service,
